Amagasaki Tourism Bureau
In recent years, tourists’ needs and ways of traveling have changed. They are no longer satisfied with just touring the remains of famous locations, but demand a glimpse into the local culture and opportunities to mingle with the local people.
From the perspective of this new style of tourism, the Amagasaki Tourism Bureau aims to forge ahead with measures to improve tourism in the area by adding charm and value to the region, by increasing the non-resident population and by giving the city’s image a makeover.
Furthermore, seizing the opportunity offered by the increase in foreign visitors to Japan and the reconstruction of the city’s castle, the Bureau wishes to make the most of the region’s assets with the help and cooperation of a range of people connected to Amagasaki. Doing so will attract even more tourists, improve the regional economy and instill a sense of pride in its residents. The Bureau will aim to develop tourism in a way that is completely unique to Amagasaki.
To work toward such development in a long-term manner, with the assistance and understanding of a number of interested parties, the Amagasaki Tourism Bureau was established on March 26, 2018, to both steer and be responsible for making steady progress toward those goals. Going forward, the Bureau will aim to construct a regional tourism strategy fit for Amagasaki.
